I have this vague hope that the horrible pun will not require an explanation, which would make it even worse.
Once I slipped out of the strip drawing groove, as it were, it took a while to get back into it. Specifically, I spent about half an hour shading the darned frontispiece instead of getting to the real challenges.
Having the holidays off was a nice experience, however. While trying to relax, I scripted eight strips and filled about a dozen pages with sketches.
