Panel one, my wife. Panel two, my mother. Panel three, the king of kings.
How's that for dramatic progression?
The guy in panel three, the bearded man with the plate behind his head... I had to draw him twice.
The first time, he turned out recognizable, but in a disappointingly cliché way. So I went back to the sketchbook (ah, the sketchbook) and gave it another go. I'm not exactly proud of the result, but it doesn't make me cringe in disgust, either. I fear that's as good as it gets.
