"Magnum" refers to the TV show Magnum P.I.. My wife and I followed Andrew's sage advice and found that at the end of the third season, the show was already obviously treading water.
Apparently, there are still plenty of good episodes to be found in latter seasons, but supposedly there's an increasing amount of filler in between.
The phone booth wasn't hard to draw – the hard part was to choose the kind of phone booth. At least I got to draw another couple of trees, proving that learning to do that was not for naught.
Andrew mostly looks the way I drew him in a quick sketch I showed his real-life counterpart for approval. I may actually post that sketch at some point, it's fairly glorious.
