The scene not being explained between the first two panels happened three strips ago.
The real-life mold for Andrew said exactly the words transcribed in the last panel, thereby unwittingly insuring his inclusion in his strip.
Yes, I spent two strips introducing Andrew because of that one sentence he said.
Drawing confederate stripes running across the folds of a... tunic or whatever you have here, isn't easy. I was actually considered purchasing a confederated flag for reference, but eventually decided against it.
A quick aside: At this point, I am still not quite firm in drawing my wife and me. Andrew's appearance, on the other hand, is fairly consistent from the get-go.
