Fatherly Advice

The trash talk started here.

This strip cheats a bit for dramatic purposes. My parents don't live in the same city as my wife and I. Nor do they live anywhere nearby, for that matter. But a phone conversation would've been much less fun to read. That last line has to be delivered in one's face to really work.

So my father travelled across the country just to improve the punch line. Thanks, dad.

Drawing Notes

When you squint tight at the frontispiece panel, you can see that the cross in the back is labeled "ME".

The frontispiece was drawn after recently watching the cementery scene in the original "Frankenstein" movie. Except that here I'm obviously digging my own hole instead of exhuming somebody else's body.
