Worries about imminent acute misery are spreading through the world. Some people are hit by the market forces of chaos, but it mainly seems to be affecting the wrong people.
For some, the current sorry state of affairs seems to be an excellent excuse for layoffs. It certainly keeps people preocuppied and worried, making it easier to herd them wherever convenient.
Hah... this strip looked so simple to accomplish during the sketch phase.
Then I started to overthink things, as usual. Five hours later...
