Trying to explain the previous night's horrors and somehow failing to make the intended impression.

When I finished the pencils for this strip, I realized I had placed the characters on the wrong side – the tails of word ballons would have had to cross in every panel. So I flipped the drawings and then proceeded to fix everything which looked wrong (for example, the wife suddenly seemed way too buoyant).
The idea was to have the "camera" slowly track around the two characters. Yet another example where my ambitions far outreached my skills.
